Recognition of Bill Zuhdi as an authority on constitutional rights has extended to his being interviewed and quoted by The Wall Street Journal, and interviews and appearances on ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in 2004 and 2005. Bill Zuhdi’s appearances on ABC World News Tonight were selected by and are included in the Television News Archives of Vanderbilt University. The Television News Archive collection at Vanderbilt University is the world’s most extensive and complete archive of television news. The collection only holds evening news broadcasts from the major U.S. national broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN. BillZuhdi has been quoted regarding federal jury trials in numerous news broadcasts, newspapers and publications throughout the country. Bill Zuhdi is named and recognized in Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World, Marquis’ Who’s Who in American Law and Marquis’ Who’s Who in America (2000-2006 editions).
Bill Zuhdi is a trial and appellate lawyer, admitted to practice law before The SupremeCourt of the United States of America, The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, The U.S. District Court forthe Western District of Oklahoma, The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, The Supreme Court of Oklahoma, The Supreme Court of Texas, The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and all other courts in Oklahoma and Texas. He has successfully orally argued appeals to federal judicial panels in Denver, Colorado and New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as state appeals to The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.
His experience includes lead counsel in numerous federal jury trials and state jury trials. Bill Zuhdi has prepared and written as lead appellate counsel numerous appeals in both federal and state courts of appeal as well as The United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Bill Zuhdi has represented clients in courts in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas, Nevada, California, Hawaii, the District of Columbia and New York. His Juris Doctor was obtained at the University of Oklahoma (J.D. 1982). He is amember of the Oklahoma Bar Association and The State Bar of Texas. He is a member of The Death Penalty Habeas Corpus Panel for the Western District of Oklahoma and The Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Northern District of Texas and for the Western District of Oklahoma. Bill has served as moderator for the Literacy Summit, continuing legal education program. He has over 23 years of experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice. His many published opinions in appellate courts include The United States Court of Appeals for theTenth Circuit, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and The OklahomaCourt of Criminal Appeals.
